Our Giclee range currently consists of six different paper types and one canvas option. Each paper type has it’s own unique character and selecting the right one can add a lot to your image. Our range includes:
Gloss/Lustre – Our standard gloss and lustre prints are produced on 2 different printers depending on size. Small prints are produced on the Epson D700 drylab with larger prints being produced on epson Large format printers (Epson 9890) using ultrchrome HDR+ inks. Both to the highest standard and using premium original Epson inks. Gloss prints provide a shiny, punchy print which is slightly prone to finger prints and Lustre which is less reflective and therfore less prone to finger prints.
Art Matt – A totally matt paper with a fine art feel. A little less heavy weight than the big hitters from Hahnemuhle but still with beautiful color rendition and representing excellent value coming in at a fraction of the cost. This paper is only available on specific print sizes upto 8 inches on the short edge.
Ilford Gold Fibre Silk 310gsm – Crowned Best giclee paper in the world a few years ago this Baryta based heavyweight paper offers excellent tonal range and huge gamut. Its light sheen and smooth base makes it ideal for almost any application. Its the perfect all rounder!
Hahnemuhle Photo Rag 308gsm – a matt cotton based rag paper and without doubt the most popular in our fine art range. The paper texture is almost velvet like and images are rendered very naturally.
Hahnemuhle Photo Rag Pearl 320gsm – a cotton based rag paper with a pearl sheen, deep blacks and saturated colours. More texture in the base than the gold fibre silk but less than Durer.
Hahnemuhle Albrecht Durer 210gsm – A lightweight textured watercolour paper. Gives images an almost painterly feel.
Kodak Metallic 255gsm – a super gloss paper with an iridescent sheen. Blacks are deep and colours punchy. Also excellent for black and white as mid tones are rendered silver.
Canvas – We use a heavy weight cotton canvas with a good texture. Its ideal for fine art reproduction and great for photographic use. It doesn’t have any optical brightening agents so has good retention over time with the option of adding a matt varnish which improves life span.
